Empowerment for a Healthier Life

I feel my primary role as a dentist is to help each person I see to become as healthy as he or she can be. Oral health, as with the health of the rest of the body, is determined more by what the individual does than by what a doctor does. (The only time the doctor has more of an impact is when the health problem has reached a crisis, so to speak.) That’s why I believe my job is to be a helper and coach for each person I see. With the health of the mouth sometimes that means helping a person to see what I see in their mouth. When a person sees and has an opportunity to get involved, they are empowered with the ability to make themselves healthier.
